3rd Air Park

The 3rd Air Park was part of the 2nd Pursuit Group. some elements of the 2nd PG, 3rd PG and 1st Day Bombardment Groups were grouped into the tactical formation called the First Pursuit Wing established on 26 August 1918. The 1st PW had the squadrons of the 2nd PG - 12th, 22nd, 49th and 139th, the 3rd PG 28th, 93rd, 103rd and 213th, the 11th, 20th and 96th Aero Squadrons (daylight bombing units) and "A" flight of the 255th and "B" Flight of the 360th Aero Squadron under its tactical control. Captain Harold P. Frank is listed as one of four officers with the 3rd Air Park.

The 255th Aero Squadron was a service squadron formed in Feb 1918 at Wright Field in Ohio, departed for France in June and were attached to the 3rd Army Air Park from October until they shipped for home in July 1919. - Mike O'Neal
