Visiting Chateau-Thierry and Belleau Wood
A 1914 Renault taxi (Narayan Sengupta)

I believe it would be easiest to see Chateau Thierry and Belleau Wood with a car. However, most French towns are served by the French national railway (SNCF). Chateau Thierry is served from Paris, probably the Gare de l’Est. But to see the monument on Hill 204 would be a several mile walk or a taxi or Uber. And Belleau Wood would be several more miles. I do have some contacts in Chateau-Thierry who can give tours of Chateau-Thierry and Belleau Wood.

If you have questions about trip planning to explore the World War I battlefields of France, then email me at info@usaww1.com. Bon voyage, Narayan Sengupta.
