The 2017 Rotary International Convention will be at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta from Thursday June 8, 2017 to Wednesday June 14, 2017. District 6900 immediate Past District Governor Bob Hagan says, “This is a once in a lifetime event for Rotarians. Join us as we celebrate 100 years of The Rotary Foundation that started in Atlanta, Georgia. Enjoy the exceptional speakers and hear from our Senior Rotary Leaders. Connect with cultures; meet old friends and make new friends of Rotary worldwide.” You can also exchange project ideas, connect with partner clubs, strengthen your club and your passion for Rotary, attend breakout sessions and visit the worldwide House of Friendship. District 6910 PDG Bill Strickland agrees: “Convention opens your eyes to ‘international’ part of Rotary. We do International projects but seldom do we get to meet Rotarians from that country. You will see Rotarians from all over the world.”

The last five International Conventions have been In Bangkok, Lisbon, Sydney, Sao Paulo, and Seoul. Those are long trips. It's a very short trip to downtown Atlanta.
