Smyrna Rotary Clubs’ 3rd Annual Golf for Kids’ Literacy Tournament

On Monday, May 5, 2016, starting at 1:00 pm, golfers will tee off to raise money for scholarships. This event will be held at Brookstone Country Club (5705 Brookstone Drive, Acworth, GA 30101).

Proceeds benefit Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) for rising high school Juniors and Rotary Scholarships for college-bound Seniors. It encourages and rewards youth leaders for their leadership and service activities. Each year in mid-June, Smyrna Rotary pays to send several rising high school Juniors to the three day all-expenses-paid RYLA Camp in Americus Georgia. The cost is $420 per student. They have exceptional speakers, do team-building, make life-long friends and discuss the ethical and social issues of today. The result? They learn a lot, and they return to their schools and communities ready for additional leadership roles and to find additional ways to serve Cobb.

The club also offers $1000 scholarships to college-bound high school Seniors. If you have a Junior or Senior you would like to recommend for either, then please contact Smyrna Rotary at f22@nfiweb.com.

Fundraising comes from two ways: sponsorship and player participation.

Sponsorship Levels and Benefits:

• Gold $800.00 (VIP parking spot, Sign on Tee Box, and Drive Range, Four Guest Passes at Brookstone)
• Silver $450.00 (Sign on Tee Box, Two Rounds of Golf at Brookstone)
• Bronze $200.00 (Sign on Tee Box)
• Hole $175.00 (Sign on Hole)
